Overview
My role involves an analysis of the various TV and Soundbar products that Samsung sells. I will review how these products are performing in Samsung’s European subsidiaries, and why they are performing well or not performing well.
Skills
Microsoft office (excel, PowerPoint), communication, time management, efficiency.
Responsibilities
Yes, you are treated the same as any other employee and are given various forms of responsibility on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
Support & Guidance
Plenty, if you require support it is there to be utilised.
Culture
The company culture is very intense and fast paced, it can often be very overwhelming. However, managing this workload and being able to manage your time correctly is a skill that I have found I have developed and will continue to use in the future.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed my placement at Samsung. It gives a direct insight into a global company that your average university student wouldn’t get the opportunity to see and experience. I would advise any aspiring placement student to apply for this role as it was very rewarding.
