Overview
Working closely with agencies and internal teams to produce marketing material for multiple channels. Networking with legal and finance to be able to get sign off for these before being able to submit them to channel. Helping with in the team to be able to pick up and support on their channel trackers and asset delivery when needed. Supporting on projects such as influencer campaigns to deliver impression KPIs and reporting on the outcomes of campaigns after.
Skills
The confidence I have gained from my placement has allowed me to developed strong networking skills, presentation skills and communication skills. These have been key skills that allowed me to succeed in my role as time went on. I have been able to work with many teams across the business giving me exposure and knowledge in areas I didn’t expect I would have.
Responsibilities
At Samsung I was given the same amount of responsibility as a normal employee, the only difference is I was supported into this. I was able to pick up more work and harder work if I wanted to and ultimately felt it was a get out what you put in approach. This meant I was able to push my self in areas I was more interested in and gain more responsibility in these areas. Personally I acted as channel lead for more than one period where there was restructuring.
Support & Guidance
I was supported as much as I wanted to be. After a strong on boarding process I was set up with the contacts to get as much supported as I felt needed. I had a buddy throughout the placement scheme I was able to go back to as well as my team insuring I felt supported in any tasks that was new and I felt overstretched in
Culture
Super friendly and relaxed. Samsung is very busy and hectic at times within the job role, however the friendly atmosphere of the office helps bring this down.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed it a lot, I have met many friends within the placement group as well as in the wider teams. I learnt alot while being able to enjoy the job. The benefits of the roles helped keep my working month exciting and eventful. With experiences such as marketing global conferences and the Spotify wrapped event in support of buds fe launch !
Yes
Don’t stress about what to wear as the tech industry is very relaxed. Make the most of the in office Starbucks to help aid networking across the business. Keep putting your self out there for tasks within your team as they will want to give you more ownership and trust within your role
