Overview
On a day to day basis I worked on monitoring and optimising the claim management process while also working on projects that aided the European subsidiaries with their customer escalations. I worked with excel for weekly reporting and also analysed the charts I made to present during team meetings. Actions would be taken based on these findings.
Skills
The skills I developed the most were time management and organisation. As a university student, I wasn't required to follow a strict routine, but having a job helped me get into a good rhythm and have more time in the day. I also learnt to be a lot more organised with my tasks and plan my days and months efficiently by setting goals and checkpoints to reach.
Responsibilities
Yes. That was one of the highlights of the internship. I wasn't treated as just an intern, rather I was treated as a valued employee with responsibilities and projects of my own.
Support & Guidance
I received a wealth of help and information throughout the year I was here. There was no shortage of guidance or support. I could approach anyone in the company for assistance in addition to the ever helpful talent team.
Culture
The company culture and atmosphere was very welcoming and inviting. Everyone was friendly and helpful, ensuring that we learn and grow during this year in industry
Your Impressions
I fully enjoyed the placement experience. I feel it was a very refreshing change from university and it helped me understand what I like and what I don't. It also allowed me to realise what I am interested in working on for the next phase of my life.
