    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • Adobe has lots of systems in place to support interns in the UK. Alongside my line manager, a member of my team was assigned as my buddy, I had a mentor who I spoke to bi-weekly, there are intern allies (past interns now working full time in grad roles who have opted into supporting new interns), and the university talent team is excellent, regularly arranging workshops and socials for the intern cohort. Before joining, the university talent team also arranged an incoming intern mixer so we could meet our intern cohort and the teams before our official start dates. The entire first week is guided onboarding activities and mandatory trainings.

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • Everyone is very friendly. Marketing teams tend to all work on the 13th floor in the Shoreditch office and the environment is relaxed and welcoming. The marketing org is very matrixed and team responsibilities across the business changed frequently as strategic priorities shifted.

    Your Impressions

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • My enjoyment varied across the duration of the placement; I most enjoyed the times when my level of responsibility and workload were higher, as these were the points where I felt I was learning the most. Given the international nature of my team, I've also had the opportunity to travel abroad to meet my team which was great.

  • 7. Would you recommend Adobe to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 8. What advice would you give to others applying to Adobe
  • Given the large number of applicants for university placement roles, the vast majority of people are rejected in the first stage (CV submission) so I would really encourage getting your CV as polished as possible and making sure your past work experience and achievements shine in that first stage of the application process.
