Overall my day to day job involved supporting on Disney's UK/EMEA Wishgranting programme for individual and group wishes which supports our partners like Make A Wish UK and Make A Wish International. I also support on Disney's VoluntEAR programme. Other job tasks involve, budget expenditure, admin and travel organisation.
Skills
I have learnt how to communicate at corporate level, time management, organisation and developed my skills in understanding the DEI sector.
Responsibilities
I was given a really good amount of responsibility and felt comfortable running programmes, inputting my own opinions with the team and feeling confident with the level of responsibilty handed over but also confident with knowing I had a strong level of support when needing and through my learning.
Support & Guidance
I received 1v1 support weekly and also guidance through the intern development programme that Disney offer. I always felt like I had consistent support throughout the 12 months.
Culture
Disney has a great company culture and atmosphere, everyone supports each other. Disney also have valuable BERGS that endorse positive culture and representation through Pride, Diversity and Disability awareness and support.
Your Impressions
I have learnt so much in one year and feel extremely confident about returning to a work setting after university thanks to Disney. I throughly enjoyed how much opportunity there was to grow, learn and discover new passions within the workplace.
