Overview
Managing and supporting with projects. I have co-ordinated a new communications strategy for the department creating documents to brief the Buying teams on new processes. I have also worked on numerous other projects to streamline the product approval process. As well as working on a project to review Aldi's product testing programme.

Responsibilities
We were given lots of responsibility. It can feel quite pressurising at the beginning but it is really valuable to allow you to develop.
Support & Guidance
We had 1:1s with our direct leader each week which allowed us to check in and get feedback on the work we are delivering. I felt supported by the wider team on the whole,
Culture
I think the company culture is ok. There are opportunities to get involved with different activities to build relationships across teams. I think the culture could be improved by having more free communication and engagement across the different levels of management.

I have really valued the opportunity that my placement has offered to allow me to develop my transferable skills and gain corporate experience.
Yes
There are some great opportunities to progress within Aldi. I would suggest researching these opportunities for example the area manager scheme before applying to see if it interests you. I would also research the role that you are entering to gain an understanding of the tasks and responsibilities you will be undertaking.
