    Your Impressions

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • I really enjoyed my placement overall - it provided an insight into a new business sector that I do not have much exposure to within my degree. Despite my initial lack of knowledge and understanding, I was presented with numerous opportunities and challenges that allowed me to develop my skills and experience while working on high-priority work. My only negative is I wish there was more interaction between myself and my line manager, so I would encourage you to set up frequent catch-ups when possible.

  • 8. What advice would you give to others applying to BAT
  • My advice is to try and maximize your time here - it will go quickly so try and make the most of each day. You can do this by trying to network across the business and learn things beyond your immediate team or department. Keep asking questions and get involved with a variety of projects and work.
