Overview
On a day to day basis the role involves sales and customer service. You also get the chance to do marketing in the business to increase business from existing account and acquire new accounts. Part of the role is also to improve and understand the financial statement of each branch and help to work towards improving this
Skills
I have developed my problem solving skills working in a high pressure environment and dealing with customers on a daily basis. I have improved my communication skills by networking with various people in the company. My confidence and public speaking skills have also been developed throughout my placement year.
Responsibilities
I was given a high level of responsibility during my internship. On a day to day basis you are given tasks to personally achieve. You are also personally assigned a role in the branch for a certain area of the business.
Support & Guidance
I received a high level of support during my placement year with regular training sessions, monthly one to ones with my branch manager and several contacts throughout the company
Culture
There is a great atmosphere in all branches. It is very easy to contact people from different branches and network throughout the business

I have really enjoyed my placement year, have learnt and developed several skills. It has also been a great way to build new connections and network with colleagues at the company

Network with others in the company as much as possible. Take any opportunity to get involved in work events. Do not be worried to make mistakes and get involved
