Overview
Within this role you will be responsible for the following: 1. The accurate billing of both pre/post opening fees for our Hotels ensuring Hilton maximize its potential revenue, whilst maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders. 2. Reimbursing our hotels through Wire payments 4. Handling key revenue accounts during Month end such as the Escrow Account and reporting on any movements 5. Presenting in our month end close calls to senior leaders
Skills
Yes i have learnt many skills whilst at Hilton including: 1. Excel - before my internship my knowledge of excel was limited however throughout my time here i have become more confident 2. Presentation skills - Have done multiple presentations throughout my internship so have been given the chance to improve on this skill 3. Time management - Ability to prioritize key tasks and work well under time pressure has improved
Responsibilities
Yes I was given lots of responsibilities. I was treated like any other member of the team not just a placement student who was only at the company for a year.
Support & Guidance
My colleagues trusted me and helped me where I needed it throughout my entire placement year. I would never be afraid to ask for help as everyone was very supportive throughout.
Culture
Hilton has a great culture and it is no surprise why it was voted the "best place to work". It is very sociable with frequent team events and quarterly social events which involve the whole office. These events means that you can get to know a large cohort of team members regardless if they are in your team or not, which creates a great atmosphere.
Your Impressions
I have thoroughly enjoyed my placement year at Hilton. Not only do i feel i have developed key professional skills that will help me in my future career, but i have developed many friendships with fellow interns and team members that i know will remain beyond this year.
