    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • It varies for each placement student but, usually, you are assigned to a project and will undergo tasks set my your team that contribute towards the completion of that project. Projects can last anywhere from a few weeks to the whole duration of your placement with tasks usually varying in nature. Tasks usually involve daily interactions internally within your team and the responsibilities you have can often align with responsibilities of full time workers within the company.

    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • I've developed my time management as I have had to manage the work hours I am contracted to work alongside external commitments giving me a sense of routine and pattern to my work week. I've also learnt important company values that will help me in the future regardless of whether I stay at this company or go elsewhere. I've also learnt efficient communication from having to communicate daily with my team members and the ability to adapt to any problems that arise on the fly. In addition, I've had the opportunity to learn and develop my skills in a range of programs that will be really beneficial to me in the future.
