Overview
As part of the Centre of Excellence team, we support hotel commercial team members by providing the resources they need to navigate the enquiry process effectively. With a team of five managers, I frequently handle a variety of projects focused on enhancing the experiences of both customers and team members. These projects can range in duration from a week to the full length of my placement. My role is dynamic and diverse, with each day bringing new projects and tasks, ensuring that no two days are ever the same.
Skills
Being in a unique position where I handled tasks assigned by five managers, often simultaneously, I gained valuable experience in multitasking across multiple projects and meeting deadlines. Working within a culturally diverse team also provided me with insights into the impact of cultural differences within a team and emphasized the importance of being culturally aware—a perspective I hadn't fully appreciated before joining Hilton.
Responsibilities
Yes, plenty. For instance, I was trusted with leading an EMEA-wide competition. This involved overseeing submissions, marking and providing feedback to all participants, and shortlisting the top three candidates based on performance. Additionally, I managed email communications for numerous trainings and events, including sending pre & post comms to groups of up to 100 attendees at a time.

A lot. All five of my managers helped me grow professionally, but also personally, and its something I know I will take forward with me in the future.
Culture
Great! i didn't really know what i was expecting the culture to be like before joining, but I soon realized it was a relaxed and friendly environment which promoted me to work effectively.
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement, exceeding any and all expectations i had before joining. Not only did I have the privilege of working with an exceptional team that prioritized my development, but I also had the wonderful opportunity to travel extensively. Through Hilton's Team Member loyalty program, HiltonGo, I had the chance to visit breathtaking destinations such as Paris and Lake Como for work purposes, and several other countries for leisure purposes.
Yes
Since Hilton is a hospitality company, they prioritize customer satisfaction above all else. Therefore, I recommend applying if you have a passion for customer service and are dedicated to creating meaningful experiences and promoting friendly connections with both the customers and your team members.
