Overview
Collaboration on broad range of projects that are directed towards the retailers and improving their processes. Analyse retailer processes using in-person site visits and quantitative results. Understand customer experience and explore new systems to enhance it. Communicate with other internal departments to ensure standard process and learn from their retailer knowledge. Implement new content and guidance for retailers to use.
Skills
I have learnt to utilise Microsoft applications to a higher level to automate digital processes internally. My confidence has improved significantly and I have been challenged to present to multiple different audiences. Collaboration and teamwork with different stakeholders has improved both online and offline communication skills. Learnt new skills and knowledge related to automotive industry.
Responsibilities
Depending on the timeline of the project and requirement of industry knowledge. Some projects I was about to be project lead and utilise my own ideas. Others you assisted with retailer visits and analysis. Toyota do challenge you to take opportunities and responsibility of as much as possible.
Support & Guidance
Overall Toyota have a very supportive and friendly atmosphere. Everyone provided guidance and their knowledge to help improve my development and learning. Additionally, team members look to support and provide advice if required.
Culture
Friendly and open to new ideas and suggestions. Everyone was very welcoming and kind. It allowed for mistakes and learnings to occur while providing feedback. There was challenges and they ensure you make the most out of all opportunities if you want to.
Your Impressions
I had no expectations for the placement experience but I have enjoyed the year and been challenged with a variety new things. It was a lovely insight into the automotive industry and the different areas that support the end product. I have ended my placement with lots of personal development and been given an insight into the working world.
Yes
Just be yourself and answer everything the way you want to rather than adapting to what you think you should say. Utilise all previous experiences to show your strengths and personality.
