Overview
My main responsibility was actioning credit and re-invoices for account and Po changes for the customer. I worked closely with the sales reps via email or arrange team calls to ensure I had the correct information to process and rectify previous errors whilst abiding to the customer services procedures. I also worked closely with other departments such as credit control and the VAT team to help advise on queries and visa versa. I also helped with the team shared responsibilities such as the mailbox and completing the credit report.
Skills
I developed a plethora of skills my prioritisation ,collaboration, communication and leadership skills. Whilst on placement our intern cohort are set quarterly projects which were on different topics we would work in small teams to complete and present to senior members of the company whilst alongside are general role responsibilities. Therefore I was able to develop my collaboration and presenting skills through our intern projects.
Responsibilities
my main responsibility was actioning the credit re-invoices and ensuring I completed the cases I was assigned during the day in a timely manner whilst providing good customer service.
Support & Guidance
For the first couple of weeks I had training which was all completed online. Then slowly I started to work more independently I would call colleagues for assistance and send queries I had on the team group chat. I had regular one to one which was really beneficial. I was able to go through queries with my TL . Also in the beginning stages I had one to one every two weeks with a senior member of the team which was good.
Culture
The company has several networks which was nice to get involved in and meet different people from different offices.
