Overview
My role include the management of the global anti-corruption risk assessment. This is a global, centrally managed risk assessment that includes up to 90 different countries. I am responsible for all aspect of the project, from assisting with interviews of key stakeholders, to finalise reports and data and finding key trends. On a day to day basis, I interact with many different stakeholders from different functions to ensure the operation runs smoothly.
Skills
I have developed many new skills. One skill in particular that has been developed throughout my time is my commercial awareness. Interviewing key stakeholders from many different regions has provided me with a valuable insight about the variations in business models and business challenges/risks that different countries face on a day to day basis.
Responsibilities
I was afforded a great amount of responsibility during my time. I worked on many core projects such as the deployment of the global Business Integrity training, that would be viewed and completed by over 50,000 online Unilever employees.
Support & Guidance
My support channels were vast and highly beneficial. I has access to senior stakeholders in the business who provided me a great amount of support and advice when it came to areas that I was knew with or found more challenging.
Culture
The company culture at Unilever is very positive for Placement Students. Every employee has a strong and meaningful purpose that helps to contribute to the success of Unilever. EDI and sustainability is central to the Business model and is a core cultural behaviour that all employees feel strongly about.
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement. I had the opportunity to experience many key sectors within my department and interact with senior stakeholders that provide advice and tools that would help to facilitate future success for my career.
