The Role
Interesting work (in the main,) encouraging people and lots of smiling faces.
Department specific but most of the time your work is directly used, and as a result you get to understand the deal better.
The people I sat with answered each and every one of my one million questions happily.
You are never left twiddling your thumbs which is important on a vac scheme.
When in the financial/transactional departments, you are slightly less responsible for client matters (understandably,) but in departments like Real Estate/Pensions, you are given a good level of responsibility.
I have learned things that I will certainly take into future employment.
The Company
Lively and friendly.
Very smooth and Grad Rec clearly spend a lot of time getting it right.
People are more than willing to spend time teaching/helping you.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
I would jump at the chance to train at CMS.
The Culture
Good people, good banter.
Quite expensive in Central London, but that is to be expected.
Good nights out.
Sports and CSR opportunities are available for vac schemers.
