Clinical Scientist Undergraduate Review

My role involves providing the support of the studies from the clinical prospective. It includes communication with different departments, creating presentations, writing scientific manuscripts, taking minutes, data review and its cleaning, creation of the scientific posters etc. Also, one of the main tasks is to make sure that study is conducted per protocol and all necessary documentation is in place.

I improved scientific writing skills, data analysis skills, communication and presentation skills as well as boosted self-discipline. My skills in using Microsoft Excel and Power Point has become stronger. I gained the skills such as scientific literature review, data review and cleaning, minute taking. I learn about business etiquette, biostatistics and a lot about epidemiology field itself.

Yes, I felt like I had many tasks that I was responsible for. However, if struggled with anything, I was always able to get the support of my colleagues or managers.

I received a lot of support and guidance. Firstly, when joined, there were many trainings as well as live sessions that helped me more deeply understand the culture of the company, my responsibilities and opportunities. While working, I had regular meetings with my managers, who always offered their support and help and always asked me to be honest if I struggle. I felt extremely comfortable throughout my placement.

I have never been a part of such warm, kind and united community like Pfizer one. I never felt judged or ashamed of my mistakes, I never felt unimportant because of my junior role. People in the community always valued my work and appreciated it. Pfizer people are just amazing and I always felt that all of us share the same values.

I enjoyed my placement that much that I am dreaming of returning to this specific company after my graduation!
