Overview
Throughout the week we got involved in various tasks and activities, including; department talks, DEI talks, Responsible Business Manager talks, completing day to day tasks set by the department and the chance to network with other individuals.
Skills
I have developed my commercial awareness skills and also my communication skills. Further, I have also developed my research skills.
Business Insight
They give you a ‘full picture’ about the company which is very useful for understanding how Gateley operate and how they work as a business.
Culture
Very good culture. Everyone is more than happy to have a conversation with you and help you with anything you may need help with. All the employees are very focussed but also very friendly!
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed the insight week. We got given tasks which makes you feel you have a sense of purpose in the work you are doing. There were opportunities to network with other departments as well as social events with other vacation schemers.
Yes
Have a strong knowledge of Gateley as a company and the work they do. Research work they have recently been involved in and ask questions about that work. Network with employees and don’t be afraid to ask any questions. Important to research the challenges the legal sector faces - short / long term.
