    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • I was given two projects which were entirely under my control. The main one was to optimise the processing parameters for a new home care product, with a supplementary side project to develop and innovative method for testing specific laundry capsule properties.

  • Whenever I required an assistance, my colleagues dedicated their time to provide support. I also maintained regular interactions with my superiors to ascertain that the work I was doing aligned with the tasks assigned to me.

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • In general, the broader environment was quite relaxed and filled with pleasant colleagues. Nevertheless, both the tasks I was undertaking and the team I was integrated with were of a highly intense nature.

  • Despite the substantial workload, I thoroughly enjoyed my placement. It undeniably equipped me with a robust skill set vital for a chemical engineering setting, thereby enhancing my employability.
