    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • In my role I have been supporting in managing our supplier Sudesan (our 3PM), reporting savings, participating in network calls, managing price reconciliations, landing and editing our supplier's quarterly cost file. Also, updating, editing and amending our contracts on iCat. Furthermore, reporting implementation timings and savings amounts for the raw material and pack material savings projects in the factory. Also, for indirect Procurement I've been managing the onboarding of suppliers in our system.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • I have definitely developed a handful of skills. In terms of professionalism, I have understood how to conduct emails, speak and behave in a professional manner. Also, I have developed my hard and soft skills. Most importantly excel, presentation skills and report writing skills. I also have become very comfortable in data analysis, as I conducted pricing analysis every quarter. In terms of soft: confidence, presence in the work place.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • Yes, I was responsible for ensuring deadlines are met. Sent accurate and crucial documents to 3rd party teams and internally. Most importantly, if I didn't deliver tasks on time, the implementation date of projects would have been delayed.

  • The company culture was very professional and fun. I was able to chat with senior members of the company, no matter their seniority - I could always have a friendly chat.
