    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Placed in the Industrial and Logistics Team. Learnt how to measure warehouses/industrial sites, viewings, site launch events and documentation behind the leasing of sites, such as proposals and Heads of Terms. Engaged in departmental talks and calls via teams, giving overview of the different sectors, and attended networking events like the Directors network lunch and Graduate's network breakfast. Got to meet and network with other industry professionals from other agencies (JLL, Colliers, CBRE etc.) and clients/landlords (PLP and GLP).

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • Yes I have learnt an extensive amount to do with the commercial real estate scene. I have learnt how to write up specific documents and understand them, learn the ins and outs of industrial sites from spec terminology to writing up availability and comp schedules.

  • Remember it isn't about being a "know it all", the Savills culture is centred around people and the kind of person you are - not how much you already know about real estate. Be yourself and in the group task of the assessment centre, make your priority about showing how you think and respond logically to others, whilst demonstrating a positive and engaged outlook.
