Overview
On a daily basis, my workload involves working across functions and with external agencies to develop and execute a comprehensive portfolio of gift sets for the brand. Additionally, I lead the creation of product artworks, including all new launches and renovations. I have a hands-on role in campaigns and partnerships, particularly with Movember, where I create an exciting calendar of fundraising events. Finally, I use a range of platforms for continuous data analysis to support marketing decision making.
Skills
Working in a dynamic and fast-paced brand has supported my ability to embrace challenges and tackle any issues that arise with a calm and collected attitude, as well as adapt rapidly to changes in strategy and structure. Balancing multiple ongoing and adhoc tasks has nurtured my ability to manage time and resources, whilst delegating is an area I personally need to improve on further in my career. I have been able to network extensively with colleagues and agencies from diverse backgrounds, navigating cross-cultural differences and maintaining efficient communication.
Responsibilities
I was given ownership over several large-scale projects that have a significant impact on the brand and my colleagues, including management of our gifting portfolio. This has facilitated more efficient and confidence decision making, as well as crisis management. Additionally, it allows you to feel like a valued member of the team.
Support & Guidance
My manager was a constant support throughout my internship, always encouraging questions and facilitating my learning and personal development. My wider team were also easy going, friendly and always open to discussion, giving help when needed and making daily tasks fun and enjoyable. The company also boasts a range of Employee Resource Groups, including Gender Equality and Mental Health, who are able to give support. Another perk of the role was receiving free private health care - this had a big impact on both my physical and mental wellbeing throughout the internship.

With fluid roles across so many countries, L'Oreal is a melting pot of culture and diversity. This, along with their ambition to drive the market, fosters innovation and promotes a dynamic, fast-paced culture that constantly pushes to achieve results and speak to consumers through disruptive campaigns and inventive products.
Your Impressions
As with any role, there will be tasks you enjoy more than others. However, the beauty of this role was the ability to shape your day-to-day and get involved with projects that you really enjoy. Additionally, working with such an incredible, fun and welcoming team allowed me to flourish within the role.
