Overview
Supported Model Based Development for control software that controls the Electronic Drive Unit. Supported all aspects of the software development process.
Skills
Yes, learnt about the model based development approach using Simulink and AUTOSAR to generate AUTOSAR compliant C code. We use the agile methodology and JIRA to keep track of our tasks and project management. WE use GitLab for our version control and use its various CI/CD pipeline features.
Responsibilities
Yes, from the start I was a valued team member and was given responsibility straight after completing my training. This has allowed me to fully show my potential.
Support & Guidance
I received support and guidance when necessary. I felt comfortable enough to reach out to any team member for support, and they were always happy to help.
Culture
Better than I expected. The atmosphere is very casual and the culture is quite accepting.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed it, but I know that it varies a lot on which team you are placed in. The skills I have learnt and developed throughout the year will set me up for a promising career.
Yes
Try to stand out, there are a lot of applicants every year and going above and beyond during your online application or assessment centre will really make you stand out.
