The Role
The level of responsibility was good, I was involved in a number of things from meetings clients to drafting, researching. Plus the whole firm is on a move with post merger situation so there was a real buzz in the place.
Very good, everyone gave you time and good advice. I joined at a busy time as office was being moved so everyone was a little bus, but overall everyone was very helpful. Some of the partners took up to an hour out to sit down and talk.
We would have meetings throughout my time here, I will get feedback for everything i did.
Busy but it was balanced by all the social activities we were involved in.
Lots and good feedback too. the placement was well structured and there were objectives which had to be meet.
It was like the real thing, I got involved in tax and by the end of it i had good understanding of some of the basic elements. everything I did was relevent and what would be expected.
The Company
We were moving officies, so there was a real buzz about the merger and the new office. Everyone was looking forward to working with new clienst and trying new things
Some things could have been done better, like keeping everyone in one office instead of moving people between London officies. But overall the HR team is really lovely, they respond to everything quickly help at every step of the way.
They took me out to see clients, sent me to major to a major Bank for some discloure material. They gave me real work and expected me to perform just like a trainee which was very good.
Subsidised Canteen
Very good, the feedback so far has been very good and its all about if they like you and if you will fit within firm's culture. The firm is friendly and very good place to work.
The Culture
Lots of socials, drinks, lunch, dinner, hanging around, football etc
Very high, but I am glad it was all paid for
Nothing where I work because I worked in the city, but great nighlife outside work
Yes, I was taking part in socials which involved meeting new people, clients and getting involved in some social events.
