Overview
This role involved working multi-divisionally in many different areas of the business. Day-to-day order management was a key responsibility, working internally and with B2B customers. Wider responsibilities involved the improvement of tasks where possible, allowing for more personal projects to improve the efficiency of order flows.
Skills
I found communication to be a key skill that I developed during this role. Interacting with both internal and external stakeholders on a daily basis allows for development in both spoken and written communication. The regular use of excel for different purposes has also helped to develop this skill.
Responsibilities
I was given responsibility right from the start of my internship, being given your own orders/customers to manage from start to finish in the order to cash cycle. Responsibility grew throughout the year as I was trained on more tasks and areas.
Support & Guidance
Constant support and guidance was provided throughout my placement. Within the team, everyone was very happy and willing to help at any time it was needed. This helped greatly when training as any issues could be quickly resolved with the help of any colleagues in the team.
Culture
The culture was very friendly and welcoming across all sites!
