    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • In my first rotation my role was in the Business Operations team. The main role of this team is the connector of Team Commercial, focused on delivery of business excellence and value creation enabling a Modern Luxury Client experience as one global team. My second role included being a ‘brand guardian’ for Defender and ensuring the Defender brand world is implemented successfully and aligns to our brand values and priorities.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • I have grown massively as a person and learnt so many brilliant skills to use in my career journey. I have developed my presentation skills, analytical skills and communication skills with a wide range of stakeholders in the business. By balancing my time efficiently with lots of different tasks, I have used my time management and organisational skills to ensure I get things completed on time and can direct my time effectively to different tasks. Overall skills: - Networking skills - Communications - Presentation skills - Analytical skills - Working in a team - Digital skills

  • Yes, one amazing thing about the placement at JLR is you are a valued individual of the company. You are doing tasks and projects that are going to make a real difference in the business!

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • You receive a large amount of support, you have your line manager, the early careers cohort lead and all your fellow peers supporting you and helping you grow. It is brilliant the amount of guidance we received in our journey at JLR but they also allowed us space to grow on our own as face challenges.

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • The company culture is one of the main reasons I would return to JLR - it is an extremely positive and inclusive place to work. I cannot recommend it enough as the culture makes you feel so included and welcome, they empower their employees massively.

  • My time at JLR has been absolutely incredible. A massive benefit from this placement is the confidence I have gained from working with lots of different individuals and working on many projects. I am so proud of the person I have become.
