The Role
It was a really enjoyable 2 weeks and was extremely informative.
Everyone from the support staff right through to the partners were all really friendly and had time to chat about things and offer advice
Management were very supportive. My trainee was excellent and everyone i came into contact with was happy to spend time answering questions.
It came and went through the day and i would be busier at times than at others. However, as i had research to do i was able to pick this up in quiet times.
I was given a lot of responsibility but obviously everything i did had to be checked over by various different people before it could go to a client due to the nature of the job.
Excellent transferrable skills. Gave a real insight into work in the legal world.
The Company
Everyone wsa very friendly, there was a real work ethic but people took the time to explain things properly.
Ran like clockwork.
We were given interviews with a view to securing a training contract.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
I would love to have a job with them but it depends on interviews!
The Culture
We were working really hard during the day so everyone was tired but we did have a few organised things to balance it out and these were a good opportunity to meet the others in a less formal environment.
I am a student in leeds so i just lived in my house for the 2 weeks meaning it was cheap for me. I know other people had to stay in hotels or travel in so that would have been more expensive.
Leeds nightlife is amazing but we didnt really get chance to go out much in the evenings as we were all very aware we were in at 9!
We had various different lunches whihc were a great way to meet people from the firm and chat to them and we went out 2 evenings with the trainees whihc was a good way to be able to pick their brains in a less formal environment and also to have fun with them. Some of the boys got involved in playing football and there were various CSR things going on. UNfortunately as many of them were with children we couldnt really get involved due to CRB check issues.
