Overview
Supplier management Contract management Purchasing of materials Ensuring ‘last mile’ - materials purchased get to our factories Helping improve efficiency of portfolio
Skills
Excel skills I had before yet these advanced massively during the year Interesting with suppliers enhance professional skills and ability to digest and interpret huge amounts of data to make executive decisions Collaboration and communication internally
Responsibilities
To an extent yes, trusted to work with suppliers and procure materials
Support & Guidance
Line manager was very supportive however this fell very short with the future careers team and those responsible for all placement students. This has been brought to their attention by many students yet a change has not occurred
Culture
Very relaxed culture, flexible with hours and hybrid working
Your Impressions
Enjoyed my placement, some areas I would have liked to developed but this was not feasible
Yes
Great company to work for relative to its size. Good internal opportunity of movement between roles.
