Overview
Working independently an as part of a team to undertake a year long research project under the supervision of the Materials Engineering team. You are allowed to take the research in your own direction and determine conclusions of your results
Skills
Developed team working and organisational skills along with independence and problem solving skills.
Responsibilities
It was my responsibility to drive the progress of my project and connect with other team members to reach a conclusion. So the responsibility of my project and the way it was progressing was down to me
Support & Guidance
High amounts of support and guidance, I had both a line manager and a project manager helping me with my research.
Culture
Very friendly. People will always stop for a chat and are more than happy to lend a hand if you need any help.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed my placement. I had the opportunity to meet and work with many new people (people in the team and other placement students) and work on projects that may contribute to products in the future
