Overview
Managing the relationship between the agency that make website updates and the brand teams. This involves regular communication with both teams to ensure everything is done properly. Working with salon partners to design bespoke emails to send out to their client base. This involved graphic design and communicating with the salon to ensure the target audience is reached
Skills
Have learned some new skills like using analytics tools, data reporting, project management, but mostly developed existing skills like excel, communication and organisation
Responsibilities
Yes - it varied depending on the project but my manager was more than happy for me to take change
Support & Guidance
The support was available but often they didn't know how to solve the issues and I ended up solving them myself
Culture
My team was only 2/3 people and towards the beginning I felt isolated. Once I made friends with more interns I was much happier. Due to the layout of the office it is hard to communicate with other teams, but there were a few enjoyable social events
Your Impressions
I did not enjoy the first 4 months as I did not have much work to do. Towards the end my role developed a lot and the projects become more creative focused, which I enjoyed. It was hard not to compare my role against the brand team roles, where the teams seemed closer and busier.
Yes
Don't compare your roles to other people's - find the things you enjoy about your role and work with your team to expand on this. Also reach out to other people in the company for experience / networking
