    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • As my role of PR and Comms intern, I am involved in all aspects of the press office. Daily tasks include, tracking online branded content and reaching out to emerging influencers. Monthly, we plan new launches and order in the stock accordingly. I am responsible for placing the orders for my team weekly.

    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • During my internship at L’Oreal I learnt and developed skills and required to run a complete press office. With a busy calendar of new launches I learnt to plan in advance to ensure / influencer and media gifting is activated ontime to be promoted online. I'm also involved in planning PR events,  visiting and costing venues, entertainment, décor, meals etc, creating guestlists, invites, managing RSVP list, ordering and preparing gifts. We're also always looking out for new trends to get on board of and upcoming influencers to use.
