Overview
Day to day we assist customer that have reserved a rental vehicle, we do so by providing excellent customer service and learning the skills needed to handle different personalities. Learn marketing skills to contribute to the continuous growth of the business and crucial skills to build relationships with different accounts. Exposure to profit and loss of the business, monthly financial statements and being able to pin point the key areas for improvement.
Skills
Time management and organisation has been developed through being in charge of the day and allocating cars to the correct customers, whilst focusing on all key areas of the business. Confidence has grown by being able to speak to lots of different personalities on a daily basis.
Responsibilities
The level of responsibility that I was given surprised me, as I wouldn’t expect to be given as much as an intern. This really helped me to get the most out of my placement and made me feel prepared to come back after university.
Support & Guidance
Support and guidance was always there throughout my placement, from assistant managers, branch managers and area managers that I worked with day to day. The level of support from the talent acquisition team was also great as I felt there was always someone to go to if needed.
Culture
The atmosphere was professional, fun and friendly.
