Overview
First, check emails if any work has come in and start on that. Then, catch up with supervisor on work completed, and supervisor sets new work. Work done during the day EG: listen on calls/attend meetings and take notes, proofread, research, fill out forms, work on the group project. During the day regular catch ups supervisor. Sometimes work set from trainees or associates too.
Skills
Yes. Research skills: finding information on previously unknown topic, picking out what most relevant. Proofreading skills: attention to detail and what specifically to look out for. Communication skills: presenting myself when attending in-person meetings with senior partners of the firm and clients.
