Overview

Skills
Resilience is a skill that is hugely developed in this role due to the pace of work, moreover the ability to practice time management helps greatly as you are expected to manage multiple projects with overlapping deadlines and constantly changing tasks with various levels or urgency and priority.
Responsibilities
I believe this depends on your role and expectations of your manager, but most often interns are expected to run various projects with degrees of independance relevant to your time in role, understanding of each project, skills needed to develop and technical skillset.
Support & Guidance
You receive a lot of support, from your manager to HR training to the Intern Community to ERGs to monthly Learning Fridays - there are a lot of resources to continuously develop yourself throughout the whole duration of this placement.
Culture
This depends which division you are allocated, as each division seems to have varying types of work culture. Overall the division I experienced had a more social and collaborative working approach, which meant building and maintaining relationships were key to the role. There is an informal aspect to the workplace, however when it comes time to prepare for a big presentation everyone is on the ball.
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement as the goal of my year was to develop my professional skillset which was definitively achieved within this year. There were challenges that pushed my resilience and helped identify areas to improve, which overall resulted in a strong understanding of the role, company and potential career opportunities moving forward.
