Overview
As an intern, you have the opportunity to meet network with a cross-section of people in the firm. The day-to-day tasks vary, this can be research tasks, drafting legal documents, or experiencing client calls and meetings.
Skills
Absolutely - I have developed my social skills, my legal knowledge and my resilience.
Responsibilities
Yes - you were responsible for your own time management and balancing your workload with other commitments (coffee chats, group presentation, etc). The tasks provided to us were rewarding and challenging!
Support & Guidance
I received a lot of support and guidance! We were given a trainee buddy and a line manager. These were people who we could approach with any question about the work or even questions outside of the work given! Everyone around the office was willing to help and always found time to talk to you!
Culture
The culture was supportive and encouraging. The atmosphere was light and the team seemed to genuinely enjoy their job!
Your Impressions
I absolutely loved it - I have developed my soft skills and nuanced my legal knowledge! It allowed me to meet people who could offer me advice for my future career path.
