Overview
Completing tasks depending on the seat and practice group you were in. Included drafting and reviewing, research and taking notes on client calls for instance. Included verification work and maintenance of documents. Worked alongside the team to complete any of these tasks most of the time towards deadlines.
Skills
I have learnt how to competently review documents and have learnt a lot about responsibility for tasks. I have developed my communication by seeking help and feedback from the team. I have strengthened my research skills by utilising the knowledge team and the platforms available.
Business Insight
I saw a large team and a wide variety of roles with everyone on different career paths and having different backgrounds. I also saw a lot of promotions starting in my few weeks with the business. The business values were put across well in the induction and I saw how the team worked with each other.
Culture
Extremely supportive - everyone very willing to include the interns in their work and eager to get us on board with tasks. Feedback was provided even during busy spells. General atmosphere was relaxed and friendly and very open door between different levels.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed the insight thoroughly. The team ensured we all got stuck in and I particularly found that the work was so interesting. Line manager always provided context to make the work more engaging and I was able to do such a range of work and network with so many people.
