Overview
My role included preparing all content to be used across all channels such as media, retailers, the website and in salons. I worked with our scientific and legal teams to ensure that our content was localised and relevant for the UK market. I also worked on projects such as organising a pop up event for a new launch and preparing send outs for influencers. As well as this, I ensured our product information was up to date, reported on launches and sent out products to clients.
Skills
Having not presented to a big group of people before, I have developed my public speaking skills and now can confidently present. Also, I have developed my organisational/time management skills as this was key to ensure that deadlines were met and to a high standard. I have learnt IT skills and how to use platform such as excel and photoshop.
Responsibilities
Yes definitely, I was responsible for approving packaging that got printed and sold, as well as localising content that would be seen across all of our channels. I was responsible to organising all elements of a pop up event we help for a new launch. Also, I frequently ensured that products were sent out to major brand clients to promote a new launch.
Support & Guidance
At the beginning I received amazing support and guidance, as there is a lot to learn and remember. Slowly, as I got the hang of things, I became more independent and needed less guidance from the team. Whenever, I needed help, my manager was always there to support me.
Culture
It was a great company to work for, there were constant social event where you could network and get to know a variety of people. There was a big coffee culture, so that you could learn about anyone from any part of the business.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed my placement thoroughly and would recommend it to anyone. Although it was hard work and there were hard times, I now have amazing experience that can be transferred to any industry. I met some amazing people that are now friends for life.
