The Role
I enjoyed the placement as a whole but decided that recruitment is just not for me.
I felt very valued, my colleagues were one of the best things about the placement.
My manager was very supportive and always happy to help. He was very approachable and I knew if i had any concerns, I could go to him.
My job was varied, however with recruitment being a seasonal business, some days were busier than others.
I was given some responsibility on my placement and my manager gave me the option to increase this responsibility.
I will hopefully use most of my skills learnt in the future, in particular when i come to apply for a job or other placement in the future through the things i have learnt about the recruitment process.
The Company
The office atmosphere was great, everyone was encouraging and team spirit washighly promoted.
It was organised, I had no problems with getting my contract through, start dates or finishing dates.
At the beginning of my placement, they sent the interns on thorough training to help you learn about the recruitment process and how to do well. They also sent me on systems training to learn more about the system i would be using on a day-to-day basis. I felt valued as a placement student from Hays.
National Travel
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
The organisation is growing and constantly improving the experience that placement students recieve.
The Culture
It was probably the best between me and my colleagues. We would often organise social events to boost moral within the team.
Socialising wasnt too bad however i lived at home and commuted an hour to work everyday so the train was quite costly.
Leeds is a brilliant night out!
There were some opportunities.
