Overview
The role involves reporting for the team and stakeholders which is done periodically throughout the month and on a quarterly basis, alongside supporting the team with Tax compliance tasks, management of overseas assignments and projects. There is the ability to obtain micro-credential qualifications in Alteryx, data and visualisation tool, which helps develop greater understanding on the use of AI and automation of reporting to streamline your processes.
Skills
the following skills are developed and used i practise over the placement: - Excel skills e.g. V-Lookup, pivot tables - Alteryx data and visualisation tool e.g. basic understanding of building reporting workflows - Tax Compensation data e.g. Tax terminology and requirements - Public speaking skills e.g. presenting in quarterly meetings and oversea assignment UK firm introduction meetings - Building professional relationships e.g. forming and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and vendors - Organisational skills e.g. Monthly reporting and quarterly reporting requires meeting deadlines and planning in advance.
Responsibilities
Yes, PwC enables you full responsibility within your role, working alongside your team. You are allocated a career and talent coach, who will support you and help advise you or questions you raise during your placement. Your role enables you to experience PwC and its cultural widely, with the ability to speak to colleagues across all lines of services and allows you to hold responsibility for your projects and tasks.
Support & Guidance
The career and talent coaches are vital for guidance during your placement, but the team and line manager provide support and guidance on your day to day tasks and insightful knowledge. This enables you to develop and grow your professional career and become established through friendly, approachable but professional relationships.
Culture
The Firms cultural is fantastic, with all employees providing the willingness to help and support each other. The atmosphere is friendly and provides a calm environment to work within.
Your Impressions
My placement year has provided me with greater understanding of this sector and has set me up well for my final year at university. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at PwC and I look forward to apply the skills I have learnt over the past year into my career progression.
