Overview
Day-to-day changed frequently, its what was so exciting about the job. One day you're completely renovating your brand's store on Amazon, another you're co leading a website migration. The versatility of the role kept it exciting. You'd have certain responsibilities to make sure you stay on top of, but the meaty parts of the day changed depending on the brand's focus.
Skills
The number of skills I've both learned and developed have no limitation, Time management is inherently going to improve, but more complex skills like collaboration is something you develop over time.
Responsibilities
Yes, There was a lot of responsibility resting on me, I was responsible for the maintenance of the brand website, which gets thousands upon thousands of views every day. As well as sending our brand CRM's who's database includes thousands more.
Support & Guidance
The people I worked with and reported into were lovely. They encouraged many regular catch-ups during my time there so support was very well supplied throughout
Culture
I worked in the professional products division, so our department was more light-hearted than some others. The atmosphere each day was very high spirited and very supportive. You'd struggle to have a miserable day.
Your Impressions
I think our nextgen committee, responsible for organising social events, fell short. SO social opportunities were limited. But professionally, I really enjoyed my placement
Yes
Go in with an open mind. You'll rarely walk into a workplace with a more positive atmosphere and one of innovation.
