Overview
Finance: Reviewed debentures, board minutes, C1 Forms, Directors Written Resolutions. Got exposed to Security Agreements, Facility Agreements and took part in a research project, with findings that assisted a Legal Director in the firm for a panel discussion on investment trends in renewable energy, in London. Employment: Legal research, providing legal opinions to partners on case matters, prepared notes for a hearing. You get to sit in and listen to client calls and take notes for Associates and Partners.
Skills
Developed my legal research, legal analysis, drafting, communication, planning, critical thinking, commercial awareness, and networking skills.
Responsibilities
Yes, particularly during my Employment seat. The Partner trusted my legal opinion on a suggested PEO process, and sent my opinion to the client.
Support & Guidance
Lots. The Trainees were especially helpful, as they were offering guidance whenever you needed it. The Associates and Partners were all very much involved with the interns too.
Culture
Very pleasant. They are all very passionate about the job they do, and keen to teach others.
