Skills
I've definitely grown both personally and professionally! I've been fortunate to have opportunities that challenged me to learn new skills, especially data analysis, project management, managing stakeholders - to name a few. Beyond that, I've also been able to develop my existing skills in communications, presentation, cross-collaboration, and many others. This growth has been incredibly rewarding and has allowed me to contribute more effectively to the team and company goals.
Responsibilities
Yes. I was involved in several key projects, often working with high-priority stakeholders across the business. For instance, I led 1:1 onboarding training with some of our senior leaders/directors who wanted to get more involved with our employee resource groups, which I oversee and programme manage. This level of responsibility really allowed me to understand the company's operations in depth and make a tangible contribution. It also helped me build my confidence and project management skills in a fast-paced environment.
Support & Guidance
I felt very well supported throughout my internship. My manager was a fantastic mentor and provided me with consistent guidance and feedback. We had regular check-ins to discuss my progress and any challenges I was facing. Beyond my manager, the Early Careers team was incredibly welcoming and supportive. They were always available to answer questions, offer advice, and share their expertise. I never hesitated to reach out when I needed help!
Culture
It's a dynamic and fast-paced environment but at the same time also incredibly collaborative and supportive. There's a strong emphasis on connection building and teamwork. People love to get to know each other and share experiences over a coffee. I always felt comfortable sharing my ideas and asking questions, and everyone was very approachable and willing to help. Beyond that, there's a tangible sense of excitement and energy within the company. L'Oréal is a global leader in the beauty industry, and it shows in the passion and dedication of its employees. It's a truly inspiring and motivating environment to be a part of.
