Overview
The Vacation Scheme was very insightful from day one. We spent 3 days in London meeting the whole cohort. Had a range of talks and workshops. We then spent 3 weeks in the office where we spent 2 weeks in one department and 1 week in another. We were able to get involved in real life work and typical tasks trainees would undertake.
Skills
I've definitively learnt to be proactive and confident. Ensuring I always have enough work, introducing myself to members of the team and learning more about the firm.
Business Insight
Very intriguing! As I already have an interest in business and law, seeing how the two combine in practice really opened my eyes to the number of areas I could potentially see myself in the future.
Culture
The firms culture is really friendly, open and personable.
Your Impressions
Would definitely recommend this Vacation Scheme to anyone aspiring to become a Commercial Solicitor.
Yes
Take your time researching the firm and understanding the work they do. Reach out to people currently working there and ask for their advice. Most importantly, be yourself! As the firm really does value authenticity and genuineness.
