Overview
On a day-to-day basis I was involved in research tasks, networking, practice area presentations, developed commercial awareness, and experienced the most welcoming and inclusive corporate culture.
Skills
I continued to foster strong communication and research skills. In terms of new skills I learnt how to structure memorandums, time management, and learnt how to develop my personal brand.
Business Insight
It was inspiring to understand the breadth of roles available at Latham & Watkins. In particular I enjoyed speaking with people in knowledge management, paralegal positions, and traditional lawyer roles.
Culture
It was the most inclusive and non-hierarchical culture I have ever expended in a corporate context. From trainees to partners I never once felt apprehensive to approach someone for help!
