Overview
I focused on mid-to-lower funnel activation (consideration and conversion) across both online and offline retailers. This included ensuring excellence at all touchpoints along the shopper journey and optimising our activations to make products discoverable and shoppable, as well as strengthening our brand equity. I was the brand guardian and champion innovative improvements and ideas of new ways to engage with shoppers to drive results.
Skills
Developed key project management, marketing and business and interpersonal skills. I also got the opportunity to present in team meetings, which allowed me to expand on my presentation and communication skills.
Responsibilities
I was given a lot of responsibility during my placement. This positively impacted me in many ways, since I was exposed to a number of complicated tasks on a daily basis. It is a challenging role with a lot of responsibility, but definitely worth it. You come out of this placement with additional skills and confidence that can be extremely helpful in your future career.
Support & Guidance
Everyone is always willing to help and explain how things work and should be completed. You feel that you are allowed to make mistakes, but also people help you understand how you can learn from them. You can have weekly meetings with your team that aim at catching up on tasks and asking help if needed.
Culture
It is a very open-minded company that welcomes everyone with a smile and warmth. You will definitely feel welcomed! The atmosphere is very positive and everyone I met was very happy to be working at this company.
Your Impressions
I truly enjoyed this placement. Other than allowing me to develop skills that will be essential for my future career, I got to meet so many people and expand my network. It is definitely worth it and a wonderful placement to have experienced.
