Overview
The main focus is on improving the efficiencies of the internal logistics within the plant. We are working on many different projects at once, from developing a technical solution to picking parts to looking at autonomous robots to deliver parts.
Skills
I have developed my collaboration skills as this role requires you to work with lots of different departments to make changes happen - continuously communicating with IT, engineering, maintenance etc.
Responsibilities
Yes, you are able to work on a project that you are particularly interested in and drive this to get the results.
Support & Guidance
I had a 4 week handover period with another student so I could see what they were involved in. I am able to ask my colleagues for help when required and we work on projects together.
Culture
Different departments have their own goals so it is sometimes difficult to come to a agreed decision
