    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • I've worked a lot with AWS, javascript, and git during this placement but have developed skills across a lot of areas like React for frontend and docker, kubernetes, nginx for devops. There is a lot of collaboration involved with working in a team so I've also grown in my ability to present and plan with others.

  • I thoroughly enjoyed my internship. I found the work fulfilling and learnt a lot through it, the other developers I worked with were incredibly smart and always helpful, I was given a good amount of responsibility, the social aspect was amazing with everyone being so nice and there being a good number of events going on, and I felt very supported by my manager.

  • 7. Would you recommend Cisco to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 8. What advice would you give to others applying to Cisco
  • My interviews definitely were geared more towards getting to know me and seeing if I was a good fit rather than seeing if I had all of the knowledge and skills required for the job. That doesn't mean you don't need any technical skills as there was a technical round, but even this was more of a conversation/introduction, just about programming principles and development.
