Overview
Day to day involved helping summarise board minutes and calculate materiality for a specific company we were assigned on day 1. This work has helped develop a clear understanding of the client and what their business entails, as well as what an audit entails. Along with this we undertook training courses and had several one to ones with people at the company.
Skills
I have learnt a huge amount around the client and how their business works. This has involved learning a huge amount on how companies work, both on a high level as well as on the most granular level. In terms of skills, working in an office for the first time was the biggest learning experience.
Business Insight
Deloitte has an incredibly supportive environment which encourages learning at any speed. I had a number of one on ones with people at a variety of levels within the company, which provided a great opportunity to ask about career routes and learn about the potentials roles within the company.
Culture
The general atmosphere was incredibly supportive and friendly. I didn't met a single person at the company who didn't fit this description.

I really enjoyed working in the scheme due to the people I worked with and the other interns, all of whom were really nice.
