Overview
It was a hands on experience right from the start. We had a detailed, two day induction where we watched and got involved in a series of presentations to prepare us for the internship. After that we got involved in work straight away, and were given real tasks to help our respective teams. There were lots and lots of opportunities to network and connect with stakeholders from various different levels. I even met with a partner after only two days in the office.
Skills
I learnt lots of new skills during this internship. From hands-on, practical work relating to the audit procedure, to online workshops that ran every other day for all of the SVS students to learn soft skills.
Business Insight
It was very easy to find out about other business lines, and meet with people from different business lines. I wouldn't recommend joining a business line if you intend to move to another one, but you can certainly learn more about all of the others if you're curious.
Culture
The culture was amazing. I have to say it exceeded my expectations. I went in, understandably, nervous. After the first ten minutes in the office I learned how amazing the company culture actually is and my fears disappeared!
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed this insight. It was definitely one of the best decisions I made, to do this internship in my summer before final year of university.

Be yourself! It sounds cliche but Deloitte really values this.
