Overview
As an Audit Summer Intern at Deloitte, you'll help deliver high-quality audit services to clients. Daily tasks include executing audit procedures, preparing reports, and participating in client meetings. You'll analyse data and collaborate with team members. The role provides exposure to various industries, helping you understand different business models. It's a learning-oriented position, offering comprehensive on-the-job training from experienced professionals. The internship typically lasts for 4 weeks during the summer.
Skills
I've enhanced my analytical and problem-solving abilities through data analysis and audit procedures. My communication skills have improved through client interactions and team collaboration. I would also say I've gained a deeper understanding of financial statements, audit methodologies, and various industries. I would definitely say that this role provides a valuable opportunity for personal and professional growth in the field of auditing.
Responsibilities
As time went on I was given more and more responsibility but at no point did I feel redundant but similarly at no point did I feel I was totally out of my depth so in general I would say it was a good balance

I received lots of support and guidance from employees at all ranks in the company in a way that I found very encouraging

The general atmosphere is young, exciting and fast-moving. It is definitely a company that lives its values
