The Role
The vacation scheme was extremely enjoyable and gave me an accurate and realistic insight into what a job in a commercial law firm is like.
Everyone made me feel very welcome and trusted me with a number of tasks.
Everyone was approachable, including the partners. Their open door policy it to be commended.
I was very busy, but it was managable and I was given as much support as I needed.
I was given a lot of responsibility which helped to provide me with a realistic insight into what a job here would be like.
The placement helped to develop my confidence and communication skills. Skills which will be extremely valuable throughout life.
The Company
Everyone was extremely hard working but also very friendly and welcoming.
The placement was extrmely well organised from start to finish.
Each practice group of the firm gave a presentation which helped me increase my knowledge on different areas of law and how they worked in practice.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
I hope very much to get a training contract with them. I feel like I would be a good fit and the vacation scheme has given me a very good insight in to how the firm works.
The Culture
There were a number of social events organised for us which provided an excellent chance to get to know the other vacation students as well as the trainees.
Not very expensive.
Birmingham has a good night life.
We were presented with a number of sporting opportunities as well as some corporate responsibility opportunities.
